Sett Cloma Bio
Sett Cloma is the project of Michael Ash. Mike grew up in the remote countryside of Wales where he discovered a love for music early on in his life. Picking up a pair of drumsticks at the young age of 8 allowed him to hone his craft as a percussionist, playing in bands and spending time isolated with just instruments and computers to tinker with. Growing up surrounded by the mythical landscape of rugged North Wales gave Mike the inspiration to make music centred on tribal elements, haunting melodies, and unusual tones. His music can be described as dark and ambient, with a touch of experimental cadence. Having spent time studying music technology and theory, this allowed for a much deeper understanding of how sound functions. Mike went on to further his studies in linguistics and phonetics, learning how the voice can play an integral part in rhythm and structure of sound.

About the album
Glide is a collection of songs that focus on the tone and cadence of the voice, and how it can form together through short loops to create a hypnotic bounce. Numerous vocal samples have been manipulated and spliced together to form structured music with elements of ethnic, experimental, and ambient soundscapes. The contrast of dark and light is explored, with pieces shifting and collating into both spectrums throughout each track, all interspersed with vocal loops, otherworldly and spacious sounds that glide in and out of sync.
